Cool Errors on Ebay

Well, work is a little slow.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2417195372&category=6432

This is an "'87 GTS" according to the seller; He admits this is an insurance salvage. It has a GTS rear bumper. And some damage to the front bumper, (Hmmmmmmmm), says the indpendent dealer, read "got a license so he can go to auctions, but doesn't know the 928" The bid is currently $5000.

There is also an "'85 Mint collectors car" but it is 16 valve with rear antenna. The "E" in the vin would make it for sure an '84. Oh, it also has 4 doors. Yea, I know that is a typo, but he used his allotment up in the first line.

I saw that "GTS," too. It also has GTS mirrors. I was thinking this would make somebody a good donor car for a wide-body conversion, but the price has already been bid up way to high for the amount of damage to the car.

Maybe the rear bumper cover just has the 928GTS insgnia on it and is not an upgrade......??? The mirrors are GTS mirrors though...wing is a GT (not painted) unit. If it is truely an 84, then there have been some substantial update work done to it. Looks like it hit a tree or telephone pole, though not very hard.......

Actually Gretch, The 84' is another auction that the seller has mis-labeled the car as an 85' when in fact it is an 84'. But its still a good looking 84'.

I emailed him (as others probably did) and the Mint '85 is now an'84.

Don't want to confuse Gretch any further.
