Blower switch inop
Out side of the 7 primary ground points for the car, looking at the wiring diagram I see that there are 12 component ground points. I believe that the blower motor is grounded at point 4. Does anyone know where exactly GPIV is located?
And is this a common fault point for the blower motor or switch. <img src="graemlins/burnout.gif" border="0" alt="[burnout]" />
Try the system on the higest speed. If it works on the highest speed, the problem is probably in the resistor pack. If it doesn't work on high, try the system on DEFROST. If the blower works on defrost, the problem is probably the blower relay or the fuse.
Relay and fuse charts are on our web site at

Thank you for your input.
The Blower motor does not work on any position. I found the fuse and relay chart on your web sit. That really made my day to get a copy of that, your site is really a great service to all shark keepers.
I am having a few other problems such as fog lights, High Beam staying on when selected and cruse control not working. I am considering the problem with my lights to be tied into the high beam switch. I still have to trace the electric diagrams to verify that the fog lights are to cut off when the high beams are turned on (that was German Law).
A few weeks ago I had my hands deep under the dash reconnecting the drivers door heater vent tube to the air distribution box. I am thinking that I may have knocked something loose at that time, however I don't know when my blower went out.
This is a problem that needs fixing soon because the thrill of driving this beast causes the window to fog up from all of the excitement.

If the airflow motor is not working to open the air vents, could that cause the blower to not work? I notice that they are tied into the same fresh air control unit. Is there a way to by pass the motor to test the circuit?

At that point, you will have a better idea of what the problem might be.
