i have done a search on this and no help. my 83 has an obvious short in the wires to the micro switch in the central vent. It works off and on. I took the carpet off the pass side console and touched the wires and the vent opened and then closed. i have fixed a bunch of wires to the console lights.The PO had a nice stereo installed, but I think they used hedge shears in there. My WSM is unclear about the color of the wires that run up to the micro switch or which plug behind the head unit they run out of.
