OT -Lexux
Have you seen the Lexus commercial that shows a guy watching the weather report, hear's it's going to rain, goes out and takes the cover off a Classic early fifties Buick convertible (with the top down) and throws the cover over a Lexux SUV that is all buttoned-up. As soon as the cover is
in place - it starts to rain, and the guy goes back inside.
My take on this is perhaps jaundiced and over-simplified, but here it is: Lexus is basically saying that they think the folks who buy their SUVs are "REALLY STUPID"!
YMMV.

Ed,
Admit it, you have reached that age where Buick's start looking good and appear to be a sound purchasing decision. <img src="graemlins/roflmao.gif" border="0" alt="[hiha]" />
O.K., maybe just the Regatta.
Maybe that weasel that ran Clinton's campaigns took over an Ad agency...

I thought it meant the Lexus paint is water-based and delicate.
And those classic Buicks w/ the quarter-inch steel bodies and solid vinyl seats are indestructible.
Donald
Where there's always room in the garage for Detroit Iron & Euro unobtanium.

Not all Buicks were bad - How about the Buick GS made to run against the Olds 442 W30, or the Buick Grand National or the Buick GNX.
As far as the commercial goes - I think the Lexus marketing department needs a reorg.
