Craiglist: $2500 OBO 1985 5 spd NYC
Sounds too good to be true but...

I have a 1985 928s4 32 valve with a 5spd. Color is red/maroon w/maroon interior. Exterior body condition is excellent with all original shiny paint. The interior is a wreck and has the common dash cracks as well as worn seats. Car has 128k miles. The car does not run properly. There is a multiple cylinder missfire.
The previous owner put a in new clutch and timing belt. I put in a new battery.
I just gave it a quick look it over. I found it has good spark but noticed the plug wires are arcing. Im fairly certain its in need of more than a tuneup. We think it may have a bad computor. Or could be worse.
It does start up and has NO bad engine noises. When looking it over I found that the driver side bank of cylinders does not run.
To be honest I want this headache off my property. Im not giving it away because its a very desireable model and is quite rare to find one with a 5spd.
If it ran well I would put its value at $6k. It may need a $200 repair or it may even need an engine. Chances are very likely this will be a good score for its next owner.
I took this in trade with cash towards a porsche 911 I sold about 6 months ago. I have no time or desire to mess with the 928.
