Default Transmission help needed

I am trying to install a 86 Euro tranny into my 87 S4, can anyone tell me exactly what I need to do to make this work, and the easiest way to go about it?

Should bolt right in same torque tubes but the kick down cable may be different.

Are the torque converters the same? Can anyone confirm.

Help this young man out. He is in jeopardy of missing Rennsport Reunion if he can't get it straightened out ASAP.
