Disconnected O2 and no change. Played w/ the mixing pot on the maf in 1/4 turn increments and got it to run ok, but still not as well as with the maf disconnected. Checked vacuum and it's way low. Sprayed some starter fluid down in the valley below the intake plenums with the maf disconnected and the engine speed decreased. Looks like I've got some leaks.

How low is your vacuum?

with my 86.5 engine (which is in an 81 euro chassis, w/ standalone) I am pulling 22-23 in HG vacuum.

vacuum is around 10 -12 in hg. I'm going to pull the intake and replace the gaskets, and all vacuum hose. But not any time soon, next time I come out or maybe I'll ship the car. I put $1500 in parts on so I'm pretty much married to her now. Pisser.

Yes that is far to low, however before you pull the intake,
verify that your camshafts are in the proper orientation. and do a compression and possibly a leakdown test.

make sure it is just vacuum leaks.
