Help......can somebody
check out a 928 s4 for me in Pittsburg, PA? Only need to do visual. If all checks out I will have a PPI done. BTW, can I get the name of a good repair facility in area to have a PPI done?

Hey!
It'd be a pleasure to take a run over and look. I believe their showroom is about a half hour from me, but I may not be able to until early Tuesday, which will be cutting close to the auction close. If no one can check it out for you tomorrow (Monday), feel free to drop me a line.
As for a PPI, the only area mechanic I trust mine to is a gentleman in Harrison City, probably about an hour from Bridgeville, at Richlin Imports - namely because he's the only one I've found thus far that's well versed with the 928. If you want to drop him a line, his shop can be reached at 1 (800) 798-5134.
Let me know - and best of luck!

Thanks for the quick replies!
Bernie, the Viper is a keeper. I'm head over heals for the blue/white paint combo.
djazz, thanks I'll be in touch after I talk to the seller.
Car looks good, but it has turbo wheels and yellow painted brake calipers.
I would appreciate anyones feedback if they view it on ebay.
Thanks,
Ed

-I still say the best Dodge ever built was the '87 Omni GLH-S. Turbocharged, intercooled...a horrid box of a car with performance to embarass a contemporary Corvette or an 8 cylinder Ferrari. Just make sure you have a firm grip on the wheel to hold back the torque steer- this was not a Corrado SLC!

This one looks awesome! One of the nicest we've seen in a long time. But then again, this dealer has had lots of nice ones in recent times...
I love the grey interior, the fact that it has heated seats (the ONE option I'd love to have on my car), and the low mileage.
There are people who tell you not to buy low mileage cars because they have a tendency to leak. I believe it's cheaper and easier to fix a few leaks than to repaint and redo the interior on a more worn car. Besides, after about 60k miles you'll need all kinds of expensive stuff - far out on this one!
Just get a thorough PPI done, or ask, if one has already been done - then talk to the mechanic in person.
One question you should ask is why the compressor for the spare wheel is in the trunk and not in the spare wheel. Also, it kind of looks like there might be a stain on the left edge of the trunk carpet, but this might well be a shadow.
Since it has an afterarket stereo, give close attention to the electrics. If there's anything funky happening, be careful and have the stereo installation checked - who knows how well it was really installed. We've heard of weird electrical problems after POs had aftermarket alarms and stuff installed.
Otherwise, it sounds absolutely great!
Best of luck!

But the girl says "What the hell are you talking about? You don't need to be buying anything other than hamster food right now!"
She's right; bitch!
Dammit!

I replaced my broken driver's side heat element with new a new carbon fiber element and electrics. This system could be installed to a non-heat seat with no problem.
Comfort heat systems sells a kit with 2 heat elements (seat base and seat back) a hi- lo- off switch and (10A fused) wire harness for about $100. It simply needs a switched 12V source. I did all the work myself and learned something about the internal construction of a P-car seat in the process. It's something you could have an upholstery shop do for you if you would prefer.
The carbon fiber is much more responsive than the stock wire version element. I located the switch in the blank panel on my 8-way seat controls as seen in the pic. I too alot of pix of the work if anyone is interested in what's in these seats.

Bergstrm, another Rennlister is in that area each weekend. If the dealership is open on the weekends, maybe he could take a peek, but then again, he might buy it.
