A Few Little Board Changes
As you can see, John D has implemented some changes, resulting in a new look to the Board forums. The functionality is pretty much the same except for:
1. Faster performance
2. No more star ratings
3. Rennlist Members are identified where their stars used to be displayed
4. A few more fun emoticons (smileys)
You can use this link to bookmark the frames-free 928 Board:
<a href="http://forums.rennlist.com/forums/ultimatebb.php?ubb=forum&f=14" target="_blank">http://forums.rennlist.com/forums/ultimatebb.php?ubb=forum&f=14</a>
Let me know if you've found anything else new that I haven't stumbled across yet...

Randy,
I posted over on the 944 list this morning. The new forum format looks great, and its substantially faster than before.
I do have one question though...
There are some posts where the poster is identified as a Rennlist Member. I am a member and it does not display that, and I know there are a couple of others that commented that about their membership not displaying. Rather than have everyone contact John or you one at a time, is there something we need to do? My rennlist id is in my profile.
Thanks,

Update - John D. sent me an email indicating that he's in the process of manually configuring all member's accounts to reflect their status. If your member status is still not active by next week, let me know and we'll get you fixed up.
John Welch - your status is now proudly displayed.
Flint - to access the member websites, at the main Rennlist page, click on 'Menu' in the upper left, then 'Member Areas', then 'Member Webs'. You will then be presented with the listing of Member's websites.
Tony - see my recent post under the top thread titled "Attention New 928 Owners" - aucune raison de pleurer maintenant mon 928 frère.
Also, you might want to consider reconfiguring your tag line so that your website URL is an active link, rather than a static one.

I miss my little stars...
Great site improvements. Still need to find out from John how to get "Life Member" status. Seems like I've owned Porsches most of my life, except for few futile Lotus moments.
Thanks!
Bob

Bob -
hehe... That was what I wrote to JD yesterday! I have no idea what they were, but they made me feel like I was in the thrid grade and had turned in all of my homework for the week.
