Well, my speedo is not working either. Thanks for your help Mike (on another post), the tapping of the pod did not work nor did a little harder slapping work.

So, I am going to need to take apart the pod. I have read numerous post about pod removal, but you seem to have it down to a science. Care to shareyour technic? I will probably replace bulbs and do other cleaning while I have it off.

Thanks

Thanks John. I'll have to look that one up, I'm not familiar with that term or what it does.

Parker,

If tapping the pod doesn't help, it might not be the same problem. I think there's a connection at the rear that might be worth looking into.

Here's a thread I started the other day with links to the way I did it. I don't know about having it 'down to a science', I was just the most recent one to post about it.

I'd recommend doing some searches on other causes first if the tapping doesn't work though. Mine was definitely a loose connection in the pod since tapping was the temporary fix.

Good luck!

Ok, where is this connection in the rear. I have replaced battery and cleaned all teminals in that area. Where is the this other rear area I should look at before removal of the pod?

the rear area is in the spare tire well , with the tire removed ,look at the forward portion, there should be a boxy cover under this cover there are wire connections check all of the grounds and the connectors for corrosion and continuity, the wires lead down to the transmission and other places
