Default Cold Start Issues

Where do I begin?

Basically when the S4 is started in the mornings it tends to run rough. It coughs and splatters and after a good 2/3 miles when it warms up all is well and its as smooth as ever.

When its in D and am sitting at the lights and engine still cold, it feels like it may cut out and the revs seems to be going up and down. As my foot is on the brake, it still seems the car wants to go forward with these uncontrollable revs. The engine and the general body of the car seems to shake as well. There also seems to be a dip in engine power with these revs.

Besides an exorcism what do I do guys?

Thanks in advance.

Cheers

Syed

Check for vacuum leaks or a bad Temperature sensor. I think your car doens't know it is cold and is not compensating correctly.

What Roger said. As a rule, the people who know (not me) could use more specifics, like "seems" to hunt is vague. Between what numbers does it cycle, what OAT? sounds obvious "cold start" problem. Several threads on that very topic recently. Must be Fall in the northern hemi.
