Unhappy Window questions.

Been to the Nichols site
Re: Hai's Window post. No joy on detail.
Tried the Archives -it's acting wierd!
Gives either 911 Forum responses, or list's everything from current page on back. In order I might add.
So... here I am.
Depaneled, no problems. Found one loose speaker wire.
Removed, plastic door cover, two exterior bolts to motor(?), removed two wires, thing would not budge. I don't want to break anything as per Hai's post - thanks Hai, you suffered I learned.- With two mirrors I can see some flat tip screws - do I remove them? I can't tell for sure but there appear to be two bolts, but from the feel of their centers might be allen cap screws, do I remove them ? Correct tool for this?
the two sections of double -stapled- felts are in place and look new.
I have cleaned the 1/4 ratchet gear from base of motor to top, more throughly than you would imagine with that puppy in place with the window all the way up. Same for the chrome looking guide tube.
The teflon guides were also cleaned top and bottom, there were no cracks, though the upper guide seems to have a larger hole than the bottom and it's slightly elongated.
The upper teflon guide -with window full up- has the guide tube resting to the interior side of the door. Would I be correct in assuming this is because of the curve of the door and glass?
There was a small -approx. 1" x 3/4" x 1/8" rectangle of black rubber laying on top of the lower teflon guide. There are two, little, metal tabs above it. Is that where it goes? Is it glued there? Some kind of guide?
While in there I cleaned both sides of that flat, door guide/support bar. The thing has been creaking and groaning for months now, VERY LOUD! I've tried every type of lube out there, di-electric, lithium, bearing, anti-squeal, moly, door-lock dry powder, and dry aerosol spray lube. Ideas? Bear lard maybe?
Speaking of lubes...what is a recommendation for the door motor, gear, and guide tube?
Even partial cures considered
TIA

John,

I would use door lube on the guides and wheel bearing grease on the gears and transmission. You are going to pull the cover and relube the transission while you are in there?

Dennis,
Thanks for the suggestion on lubes.
I'd definitly like to pull the cover but I'm shy on detail.
I've removed the two bolts holding the motor/tranny to door as well as the two wires just unsure of next move as I can't really see any thing other than some flat head screws and possibly two allen cap screws on the inside of door.
I don't want to be stuck like Hai with some broken
rivets/screws and no way to reassemble.
As I said Nichols doesn't have enough detail and The archives are reading from the 911 Forum, or dumping the entire 928 forum archives in order of post from current on back into history.
I might have to check Nicole's profile - kinda invasive- and track all of her post's by using her member #.
She did the windows last year and we had some fairly descriptive stuff there with replies and all.

John,

I don't remember the details when I tore mine down, but it was straight forward once I removed the regulator from the glass. I do remember having to prop the glass up to get the regulator off and out. BTW the manual shows four bolts holding the motor. Two at the motor and two above the other opening. If you have the manual the picture is on page 57-3.
