Mysterious Clutch Death

86 928S 5-speed. My general question is.....are there normally any prior warning signs when a clutch goes out? Or is it one of those situations where it works one minute & dies the next?

Jeff,

You will need to be more specific about symptoms. The clutches in our cars are fairly complex and have more than one or two failure points.

What symptoms are you experiencing?
