Exclamation Oil Drain Plug

I went to change the oil this morning. Got the car all warmed up and got under to take drain plug out of hole. SOMEONE HAS WRECKED THE PLUG. I CAN'T EVEN TELL WHAT SIZE IT IS! So does anyone know if there is a universal plug that I can put back in and where do I get it?

Wait, I just found a partial answer to my own question. It is either a 19mm or a 21mm. My car is a 1982. Any other 82 owners out there that know what size it is? Thank you in advance.

Call Jeannie at (828) 766-9280, or one of the other vendors, and ask for the proper drain plug, seal ring, and oil filter, and do it right.

Tim, no I have not pulled it off yet/or out yet. I am going to take WallyP's suggestion and do it right. I told myself to listen to everyone on this board and wait to get the right parts. So I am going to call 928 Specialists on Monday morning and order a new plug. And I also discovered that the tube from the oil filler to the pan is cracked and really does not look reliable. So It gets done now too. Thanks to everyone that helped with yet another project. Oh, I have to tell you that I pulled out on to the street after the car was warmed up and really hit it and all of my neighbors stopped what they were doing and just looked in shock. That car sounds sooo nice.

Cool

Hey Chucker...

My car has had some oil seepage around the area of the filler "cup" since I bought it. It appears to be from where the aluminum tube comes out of the bottom of the cup, and some of the oil has found its way down the front of the timing belt cover and onto the front of the oil pan. Have you priced the cup assembly out? Who has it?

Normy,
I have not priced out the cup assembly. I do know that 928 international has the rubber tube that goes from the aluminum to the pan for 9.00 part # 928 107 311 01
