Post 928 4x Height abilities

Hello, all. Firstly, thanks for managing such a great site.

Now, onto my question. I'm 6.3, but fairly slim, weighing in at 180 lbs. So, my question is, should I be able to fit within a 928 coupe specifically one from 1988. Thanks a lot for the help.

Peace,
masterg

masterg-
I'm 6.01 and 180 and have no problem. There are several taller drivers on this board.
The major complaint I have heard on headroom is from drivers on the track who lose another couple of inches from the helmet- then it's a matter of adjusting the driving position.

Just buy one, you can always have your torso shortened.

You should be fine , why not go try one ?? note that the sunroof does take away a lot of head room and I for one have difficulty driving a 928 if fitted with sunroof but I am 6' 4" BUT over 300 lbs with very short pant inseam 29 " LOOONG torso .

Wow. 6'4" with a 29 inch inseam???

I'm only 5'7" and I have a 30" inseam...

Did you lose your legs below the knee?

If you have enough time, you might be able to find a custom ordered car without sun roof. However, they are rather rare here in the US, where the sunroof was standard. In Europe it was always optional.

Perhaps, I could Nicole, but it doesn't matter to me honestly. Anyways, this is the car I'm looking at: <a href="http://www.ofoto.com/Signin.jsp?redirect=yes&Um=86145829503.52301681903&Un=667889099&Upost_si gnin=%2FBrowsePhotos.jsp%3FshowSlide%3Dtrue&UV=848598089829_55629511405" target="_blank">http://www.ofoto.com/Signin.jsp?redirect=yes&Um=86145829503.52301681903&Un=667889099&Upost_si gnin=%2FBrowsePhotos.jsp%3FshowSlide%3Dtrue&UV=848598089829_55629511405</a>

Gee, I've got a '79 without a rainroof. I prefer a clean roof. Didn't know they were rare. Thanks for the info Nicole.

Masterg, Have you had a Pre Purchase Inspection done on that 928? If you don't have a lot of experience with 928's, it would probably be a good idea to have one done before purchasing it.

Be careful- hasn't been broken in yet- only 84k miles.
Clean looking car, Anthony's advice is worth taking.

I am about 6'3 230 lbs, no issues with my 89 S-4.

I do have to adjust my driving position carefully with the auto seats though.

Youll fit no problem.

Yes, thanks. The car will not directly be mine, at least for quite a while, as I'm just beginning to learn more about the mechanics and whatnot - my father's always been interested in automobiles and will be driving it almost daily for at least the first 6 months.

Again, thanks for helping me out guys. Great community.
