85-86 Murf928 SuperShark interest?
Hello my 928 friends.
For years I have been getting inquiries for a Murf928 kit for the 85-86 32V cars. I have participated in supercharging a few of these cars but really never offered a full blown, documented Murf928 kit.
There is a local 86.5 AT car for sale that I may be interested in buying for the sole purpose of fully developing a Murf928 supercharger kit(s) for these cars.
Initially I would start off with a Stage One kit that I anticipate would produce around 400 rwhp. I would then develop an intercooled version that might gain another 100 rwhp... not really sure exactly what the results would end up at.
Since there are so many exhaust upgrades for these cars I would try to provide documentation with respect to the most popular exhaust upgrades for each level of kit. For sure I would do it for the Stage One kits.
These kits would be SharkTuned (include chips), fully tested and publicly documented for everyone to evaluate.
I anticipate the prices would be right about where the 87+ kits are at: $5495 Stage One and $7995 for the full blown version... give or take $2-300 for either one once they are all sorted out.
Before I invest a bunch of money to do this I would like to get a general idea of the interest level. I'm not asking for anyone to commit to buying one, I just need to know the level of interest. If I feel there are at least a strong 3-4 genuinely interested customers right out of the gate, I would take the project forward right now.
Thank you for your time and I look forward to your responses.
Best regards,
Tim Murphy

ME too, not in the next 6 months, but probably with 1 -1 1/2 years.
KK
PS Saw yours, DR's and John's twin turbo @ SITM, made me think- what about John's intake location, your blower and DR's intercooled manifod = 8" of plumbing if you feed the manifold from the front?

The pull-the-SC-every-2-years concept has entered my mind, as has the tape-a-$100-to-the-SC-with-you-dont-see-me-written-on-it.
But a sticker would work better
And if I go the other way, I figure I wait till next year to put it on (I'm due for smog next year, so start at the front of a 2-year cycle before install).
