Thumbs up I've taken the plunge!

Well I've done it. I will be picking up my new (to me) '91 S4 this weekend. I'm the fellow who wrote the UNSPORTYNESS post on the 928 forum a few weeks ago. I've had the car well checked out and maintenance records are right on the money - 55K miles, timing belt and water pump replaced 7/06, fluids in February. The drivers seat bolster is torn - does anyone have a source for Chanpaigne colored leather? I'm planning a 1000 mile trip from Wichita to Denver and back Thanksgiving week. Thanks for helping me decide to buy a car I've wanted for 20 years. Rod Handsfield

Hi Rod:

Congratulations on your purchase! You picked an awesome year - as I can say with a bit of bias (see my signature)...

And when you travel to Wichita, make sure you connect with Marc and Terri - both of whom are Board Members of the Porsche 928 Owners Club (www.928oc.org).

Enjoy the shark, and if you ever want to talk "91 S4", feel free to send me a PM!

bring a fuel pump relay, if not a spare pump/filter.

Well, damn, Rod. I'll be driving TO Wichita for Thanksgiving. If you get back in Doodah town before the weekend is over let's go cruise Douglas Avenue.

Man I miss those nights cruising Douglas. They closed it down to cruising back in the early '90's and then it moved to Seneca St. Last I heard there is no place like it used to be.

Congrats Rod

That same 928 caught my eye too. If opportunity arises I’d like to take a closer look at it on your way back to Denver. Congrats again!!!!

Thanks

PS. Be sure to watch the weather - the roads can get pretty nasty that time of year.... If you run into trouble around the Goodland area I might be able to help.....
