Post Differential Fluid Question

I have an automatic and the owner's manual lists SAE 90 hypolid oil. If I change the oil can I use Castrol Syntec SAE 75-90?

If not, is there a synthetic 90 wt gear oil I can use?

A multi grade oil of 7 5 / 90, i s perfectly safe to use in a place of seasonal changes.

If your rear is posi, you will need to add a posi additive to the oil.

FWIW - I used Mobile 1 75-90w when I replaced my fluid. No problems to date.

A hint though - be sure to REMOVE THE FILL PLUG FIRST before draining the R&P housing.
