Default car sits -since Feb. after 2-3 revs. starts. sweet. I miss this vehicle.

My daily driver is a 05 pt-gt convert.
I was very happy with it for the first few months. Then everything and all the problems associated with it made me remember why I haven't owned a 'domestic' since 86.
Today after since the snow of last feb, I started up the porsche. 2-3 revolutions it took to start it. Man what a great feeling to sit inside an old girl.
I have over time -years- on this forum posted how much I hate this car and love it.

It has been parked since December of 06 and I haven't driven it on the street since then.
Everything that I loved about the car came back to me just by riding throughout the condo complex parking lot.
The pt is lame.-Fun though with top off with the kids at times. The Kids convinced me on purchase.

I believe I will never rid this car. The pain in the **** one day and the prep h on the next is about the best way I can explain it .
It is dirty on the outside. Not having been washed for months BUT the paint in the *** especially is still beautiful; even under filth.
She's being charged up tonight.
I can hardly wait for it to have a garage and I can work on her.
I miss that.
Just saying at 12:55am in the morning.

I hate mine also when I can only drive it on the weekends and knowing how much money I've put into it. The hate builds all week as it just sits there in the garage. Then I take it out on Saturday morning and drive it around. That's when I remember why I keep this car that I hate so much all week. After I put it back in the garage on Sunday night, the cycle starts again...

I want to get this straight--

We HATE our cars because WE don't get to drive them enough? Sounds like it really is the CAR'S problem all right.

Did I get it right?

Having two cars gives a little breathing room. Keep that PT.

The newer P. designs don't do much for me. Even the titan 911 turbo in which a MacDonalds restaurant aquantance owns. We've spoken and bull****ted many many different times on vehicles.
I can talk to hitler about circumcision if needed be.
Anyway his vehicle doesn't stir up the emotions and wanting I had for the 80's P. car's .
Nice but no envy.
I'm an 80's guy and P. was it. Character and looks.
Today it's not repellent but without the badge you'd figure the manual would be in Chinese.
The ultimate P. car to me is the 959. Right behind it's arseis the 928 GTS.

Hi Malcolm.
Crazy times . Being patient and biting my tongue at times really helped.
I have my Kids now almost 40% of the time.
Have nothing else-yet. But that was not my point.
Sure as heck like to meet up one day.
Regards-best of.
Mike

Nice to see you around again.

I took mine out of the garage tonight for an hour or so. I have learned that with age, I do not like driving the cars as much as I used to. I find I enjoy washing , waxing, fixing it more than driving it. Tonight I actually got bored and came home. You can only come out of so many turns sideways grabbing second before you had enough. I am really at a cross road with mine. I worked so hard to get here; to have a nice 928. Buy one, fix it, sell it... But now that i have it, Im bored with it! I have actually thought about selling her. But then I thought, what will my daughters take to their proms? My attitude changes by the min on this. So I dunno. This winter Ill get the seat fixed. Do a TB job, fix a few other odds and ends that need done and next season attend more events and see if i have more fun with her. Getting older sucks!

I could not put up with the work if proms was the reason. Some people spend a lot of money on art and basically all you do is look at it. But like art these cars do a mental job on the beholder. I agree with you about the age thing.

Great news on the kids Mike...........understand the 'else'.

Was up in Edmonton his summer for the first time in many years to look at Brians GT..........there and back in a great travel day for the 928.

I'm now the 'guy' for the Alberta chapter for the 928OC and I'm hopeful for a quick event before the snow flies..........hopefully you can come.
