Default OB Vapor system

I've got a vapor canister with three connections. One comes from the fuel tank, one goes to the airbox, and one goes to the side of some kind of vacuum actuated valve. I have two questions that I couldn't find the answers to here or in the manual:

1. Where does the vacuum connection go?
2. Where does the bottom of the valve (vapor line) go?

The manual only describes 87 and later vapor systems. Thanks.

For earlier years, Chilton's (page 102) shows two hose connections on the bottom of the can. One line connects to the Y fitting in the fender well, and the other to a line that appears to be connected to the air cleaner housing on the passenger side.

The PET (image 201-10) shows three lines. Outermost on the can, the line is connected through a "sleeve", but doesn't show if that's a grommet through the inner fender or where that line ends. Next inner hose is connected to a Tee on the line that returns back to the check valve at the rear of the car. The next (center most?) line connects to the Y fitting in the fender well.

Hope that helps.

This might help: (Gas Vent System)

Side note: early '78 have a metal(?) cannister, with three hoses, so no Y:

Yes! That's what I have PorKen.

So if I have it right, the vacuum line goes between the EGR and thermo valves on a T, and the output off that diaphragm valve goes into the vacuum side of the A/C bypass valve? So basically, this system is a regulated vacuum leak through the canister?

Thanks

Okay, I've got the vapor connection hooked upto the atmospheric side of the throttle body (at the base of the fuel/air assembly). Now, I just want to make sure I've got the right vacuum connection. There are two ports on the atmospheric side of the TB, one large one to the warmup regulator and one small one to the white connection on the vacuum regulator. Which one should I splice into? Thanks.
