No doubt.

5.5 days, 4072 miles. New York to Seattle. Talk about eating up the miles in high speed comfort. What a great trip.

More pics here for the really bored:

Maybe I'll just 'casually' look at some. Maybe put some things I own know up for sale. With no reason behind it at all.

There's a giant 928-focused event in SoCal in a couple weeks. Look at the Sharktoberfest thread stickied at the top. There's a group coming from your area, tag along or hitch a ride. You won't regret it! A day or three of immersion training is what you need. Resistance is futile!

Somebody in the east bay or central valley area, klonk him and toss him in the passenger seat for a ride down here!

Macreel, I hid in a laundry basket and got out. No fun in there. Food was terrible and the service was even worse. Maybe they won't find me for awhile.

Speaking of 914s, I once drove my 914/6 to the Oklahoma parade and it rained across two states. It would cruise at 100 in the rain but the spray from the semis was a test. I even stopped to sleep in it at a truck stop wrapped around the gear shift lever. I assure you the 928 is a big improvement with seats that recline for short snoozing. And once I was in a 928 on I-5 in the mountains just past the Oregon border there was almost zero traffic, light constant rain and the 928 at 115 to 125 all day and I was wondering what was in the brains of the goons who posted the 65mph sign on the road. Probably jelly or mud. The 928 compared to the 914/6 is such a contrast on the open road: it begs for more. " C'mon" it says to me," let's go". And go. And go some more. It has poise and sophistication, compared to the 914/6 and its rawness. People will try to race you. You'll simply laugh at the poor goofy idiots and keep grinning, then ignore them. Who are they to interrupt your entrancing dance with your machine. But the trait that surpasses all others is the 928's driving position. I have yet to find a machine with a better one, including 911s and Mercedes. Hit, go drive a 32 valve '86.5 and tell me you can sleep soundly then. Drive it a long ways and take it on a high speed back road, not low speed twisties. The 928 comes into its own from 80 on up to your panic point. Below that it is just begging you to get moving.

If you want a 928 road, it is I-5 between Redding and Oregon border, or I-70 from Grand Junction, Colorado to Denver, Colorado. 125 all the way and you can't stop
smiling. At least that's what someone who hangs out here told me. If you want a 914/6 road, try Hwy 1 from Hearst Castle to Monterey, or from Sea Ranch down to wherever it ends before that orange bridge off of which everyone jumps.

Hi Christoph: We would LOVE to have you in our norcal928 group! And you've seen a few of the guys at my house when you stopped-by during a timing belt party - remember?

Well, you can always visit my shark. Not sure I'll let you touch it, though... LOL!!! (just kidding)

Aw, c'mon Nicole. If you let me drive it, you'll let anybody drive it.

Let's have a party @ Nicole's house for Hit. Nicole think how long it has been since we have intruded into the sanctity of your house??? And since I've recently escaped from jail it is even more reason to have a party.

Sure, we can do a party here. Best would be in November, though.

How about a go-kart race with pizza, and then coffee and snacks here afterwards?

Or just a social gathering here? I'm open to suggestions!

Hey nicole I was hoping you'd chime in. Looks like I might have to hang out with you a little more now. I know I've been absent. It's kinda strange now that I moved to livermore. I don't want to go anywhere. Not because it's especially nice here, but because everything is so far away! (not really but none of my vehicles are especially fun to drive)

Anyway if you guys and gals want to do something I'm in. Go-karts are fun.
