Headlight adjustment
I noticed that when my headlinghts are retracted, one of them appears to be tilted back a little more than the other one. It's not much, maybe 3/8 of an inch at the top, but you can see it when you look closely. I think this might also affect the adjustment of the light beams when the lights are active, but I can't tell for sure.
Anyway, how can this be adjusted? Would I do this from the engine compartment, or from underneath the fender? Does anybody have a procedure for this?
Thanks!

Nicole,
There was a post dated 03-21-2002 that Wally replied to.
Change the SEARCH (archives) date to all.
Type in Headlight Adjustment. This should bring up three hits the one you want is:
88 Euro S4 Headlights
P.S. While you have the hood up check that 'C' - circlip- retainer. If its missing or about to pop off you can punch a hole in the radiator. When you turn on the lights the actuator arm is no longer attached to the pivot but is still being actuated, not a good thing.
You will be able to find it easily it's on the driver side NEAR the radiator, just look the system over. It's one of those visual; "Oh yeah, now I see how it works" lessons. Take a Phillips screw driver with you for the headlight adjustment.

Perhaps this is what you seek, if not refering to the euro headlight adjustment feature:

When i had that probelm there wasa different culprit. The headlight wasnt "out of adjustment" per say, the little black piece of plastic that threaded adjustment screw passes throughwas cracked in half! When the light retract it woudl sit in the fender in a slightly tilted manner.
Pop your hood, remove the phillips screws that hold the cover on and look for this part....
