Question 86.5/idle,is there a screw/or computer

does the 1986.5 have an idle adjustment?i thought procedure was done by the computer.

Yes it does. You'll find it on the top center of the engine, just under the cross brace. Find the 1 1/2" cap covering a three pin connector. Warm your engine up with ac off, jumper the idle speed control which will disable it. Set your idle speed to 650 to 700 rpm by adjusting the bypass screwlocated on the throttle housing. You can get to the screw by going down between the first and second air tubes on the passenger side. Once down remove the jumper.
