Hey everyone, I know I have posted this same question a while back but I now have new evidence that might lend a hand in fixing my oil pressure problem.
Basically what happens is: When I first start the car for the day everything is fine. No warning indicators. When the oil gets warm or hot probably 15 mins after driving, the oil pressure warning indicator starts to blink when im idleing. When I pull off idle to over 1,000 or 1,500 rpm the oil pressure indicator light stops blinking. This continues at idle. Now my oil pressure guage stays pegged at 5 bar so I must have a wiring problem or oil pressure sending unit problem. I want to remove and inspect and clean the sending unit but I just have not had time to do it. I thought if there's something else down there I would want to replace and clean it as well.
But what about the low oil pressure at idle?? Is there an oil bypass that is not working correctly or do you think its the oil pressure sending unit?
Any thoughts would much be appreciated. I was gonna try and get to this stuff this weekend.

Curt,
There is a pressure relief valve but it works on the high end pressure. It appears your sender is bad in the gauge portion and MAYBE the light portion. You really need to get a true reading on your warm pressures. If your idle pressure is really that low, you could be damaging your engine.
