Default My issue

My light comes on while going down the interstate every so often. All the rings are clean I can assume it my be wind related and will check out my connections. One car is restarted it goes away.

I just brought my car out from storage and the ABS liht comes on after a short hiway jaunt. Rsets when the car is turned off.

The rings and such are clean. Could it be spiders?

I believe I started this thread and completed the trouble shooting and repair in another.......sorry, but I'll rectify below.

The original issue was the dramatic wear of the front brakes with little wear and little feel there was much braking from the rears. Also the ABS light was coming on intermittently despite having the panel ABS relay replaced. With extreme braking from +highway speeds I confirmed the car would lock the fronts to the point of skidding the PS2 tyres without so much as a chirp from the rears.............the ABS was not working.

I replaced both relays under the drivers side (LHD) inner fender for the ABS system as well as the front brakes pads......PBR ceramics. With the wheels off I also cleaned the ABS ring and pickup. The issue remained.

I then thought back to tshooting 101............just because I replaced a part with new doesn't mean that it was a good part. With that mindset I replaced the CE panel relay with the old and the system worked. I then bought another new panel relay and its worked ever since.

Now I cant tell you if the first new CE panel relay was damaged by possible faulty ABS system relays (the 2 under the inner fender) or the first new CE panel relay was bad out of the box. All I do know is the system has 3 new relays, new PBR pads all round, new drilled rear rotors, flushed fluid with Super blue fluid and a 33 bar pressure regulator and they work very well.

Could be crud on the "gear wheel" reluctors (spiders???). Also check connectors at the wheel speed sensors to the wire-harness. I also suggest pulling the ABS relay and checking the connectors there too.
