A big congratulations to DEVEK and Kim Crumb for their results at the national Porsche Parade event. Below is a copy of what was posted to the Rennlist 928 mailing list, for those of you that don't subscribe to that.
We had to do it! After winning the Porsche Parade stock 928 class 10 times, it was time to take the 928 up to face the Modifieds...the "Big Guns" group. Last week was the 47th National Porsche Parade, in Idaho, and only with a heroic effort on the part of Marc Thomas (driving the car from S.F. to Boise and back with only hours to spare to the start of Devek Days) we entered The White Car in Modified 5. A class where you can even run a 962! This class is mostly Turbo stuff...I won it last year with my friend Greg's highly modified 944 Turbo. This is the first time I've ever even seen a 928 in M5...and I've been to 19 consecutive Porsche Parades! Cut to chase, the competitive results? We did it, We Won...stunning the group with a four second/lap margin! So what came in second, you say? A 600 hp all-wheel- drive 993 Twin Turbo with Hoosiers, full H&R Supercup suspension, etc. Yup, that was four seconds back! Third? A Ruf BTR something... So, drum roll please, for the very first time in Porsche Club history, a 928 is the Championship Car in M5, the highest modified class in PCA! Please consider sending Devek your congrats, I couldn't have done it without 'em! Thank you for listening, and enjoy more proof of how great Our Car is! Kim

CONGRATULATIONS Kim, and DEVEK! Incredible accomplishment. Kim, you have to feel great about this win... you've always wanted to prove that a 928 could not only run with, but BEAT the best.

Could somebody explain exactly what this event is comprised of? Sounds great to say the least, maybe Marc@Devek could tell us all about his teams great victory. Keep up the good work! <img src="graemlins/beerchug.gif" border="0" alt="[cheers]" />
