I tried some perforated "film" over the taillights that is used on motorcylces. I don't know how long it will hold up, but if over time, I decide I like it, I've found the same thing in a perforated metal sheet that could be formed over the taillights.
We'll see how it ages.

Maybe, but I was told by the tint guy that it would not hold up if exposed to beautiful Indiana weather. This is supposedly designed for exterior use.
If it doesn't hold up, I may try the perforated metal.

Yup, as far as I know, tint film is supposed to be used on the inside.
Looks good by the way!![Smilie](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
I remember seeing a spray on tint years ago that were used to tint tail lights and markers. I never used one but have seen them in use and they do look good.

I know a number of folks who have tried LED tail/brakelights and were disappointed due to lack of brightness when observed off center.
But! While visiting the Heavy Vehicle Parts (HVP) store for some dump-truck parts one of the counter guys (owns a a late model Buick Grand National X GNX -bad azz-) who knew I was back intomotorcycles showed me a bizarre looking set of 1157 bulbs, both socket and glass slip-ins', that have multiple LEDS sprialed around the center and are very bright even off center. They cost about $13.00 apiece at his store but have (I think he said) a 10 years warranty.
For those of you with cloudy/crazed lenses due to the incredible brightness this IS an option.
