Let me turn my monitor sideways here so I can get a good look.

Much better, Let me turn it back. Yes this is a very impressive plaque and I am working on getting one. I emailed Paul today.

I looks as if you found a nice home for it Drew.

Now that would just be adding fuel to the fire! Zee wife already refers to them as my "Mistresses", heaven forbid I should get a Plaque to honor them.

I'm in total agreement with you Drew! That plaque is absolutely beautiful. I ordered one from Paul and had it in three days. Thanks Paul! Looks great in my garage with the sHARk parked in front of it. What else can you buy for $18 that compliments the car so well? Every Rennlist member should have one.
Happy Motoring.

Sorry, but I'm a little confused. What is the plaque for? Where do they come from? Who is Paul?

Beth,
Paul is Paul Champaign and the plaque features a 928 lovers quotation. Here it is:

I want a Porsche 928

I want street rods.
I want cars that glimmer in the sun, and whose curves make me drop my jaw every time I see them ... even if it is everyday.
I want enough power to outrun any and all Chevy pickups that try to forge past me when I'm entering a freeway.
I want enough power to take that spot in the fast lane next to me, when I turn my blinker on, and not be outgunned by the guy way back there who thinks a lane changer signal means "close ranks".
I want leather all around me, and if I can have leather underpants, that too.
I want a car that sticks to pavement like bubblegum, even though it's 3500lbs, and outbrakes anything else out there, especially when I've dropped the ball and have to correct for my own stupidity.
I want a rear-end that will get down onto its haunches around a decreasing radius turn, not slip out when I lift the throttle to slow down or just because I like the whine of deceleration.
I want to be able to get out on Route 66 and fly for several hours through the nondescript desert at 160mph while chatting with my child in the back seat. Something that will run past 150,000 miles and not even start to feel aged.
I want a car with so much blue blood in it, that every time I drive it, I burst into tears with enjoyment.

I want a Porsche 928.

Highly recommended. Order one and enjoy!

Hello Beth -

The Plaques are a little insight into why we own 928's.

Call it our Theme Song if you will -

I want street Rods

I want cars that glimmer in the sun, and whose curves make me drop my jaw everytime I see them ...even if it's everyday.

I want enough power to outrun any and all Chevy Pickup Trucks that try to forge past me when I'm entering the freeway.

I want enough power to take that spot in the fast lane next to me, when I turn my blinker on, and not to be outgunned by the guy way back there who thinks a lane changer signal means "Close ranks".

I want leather all around me, and if I cabn have leather underpants that too.

I want a car that sticks to the pavement like bubblegum, even though it's 3500lbs, and outbrakes anything else out there, especially when I've dropped the ball and have to correct for my own stupidity.

I want a rear end that will get down onto it's haunches sround a decreasing radius turn, not slip when I lift the throttle to slow dowen or just because I like the whine of deceleration.

I want to be able to get out on Route 66 and fly for several hours through the nondescript desert at 160mph chatting with my child in the back seat. Something that will run past 150,000 miles and not even start to feel aged.

I want a car with so much blue blood in it. that every time I drive it, I buirst into tears of enjoyment.

I want a Porsche 928 -

The Palque are available through Paul Champagne - a fellow brother at Rennlist and Shark Owner.

No Drew, I don't type faster than anybody. I have ten thumbs. I just noticed Beth's post before you, spent 5 minutes composing, 15 typing and .5 seconds to hit enter.

Thank you all for your kind words guys, but I just engrave these things. Praise and thanks should be directed to Heinrich Smit, a fellow shark owner for his inspiring words.

Just like a spirited drive on a twisty mountain road can put a grin in our faces, there are times when that elusive bolt or the thought of changing those #$@#$ motor mounts can puzzle as to why we go through all this. That is the time when those words hanging on the wall will make sense

Paul,
You're out there lurking! So thanks face to face, so to speak. The workmanship was great and the time frame fantastic. If you wouldn't mind, could you post a pic of the silver one? Wouldn't hurt to have one at my desk would it?

Hey Jack,

I never got around to taking a picture of a silver one and these things are really hard to photograph. I think Drew did an excellent job

Wow, that is nice. And thanks Jack and Drew for sharing the words with me. I think I will need one too, just as soon as I have some $$$ (just a little broke after buying my set of manuals).
