Howdy all, pulled the outer intake chambers off to change the plugs (don't want to know what those wires cost!) and I have about a tablespoon of motor oil in each side. I'm baffled.

Dennis that is common for all '85-86.5 928s to have oil in the intake plenums. I was a bit miffed too when I first pulled mine, only to find that it is just the way it is designed.

The breathers for the crankcase are routed to the intake, hence the oil you see.

I rerouted all of my breathers to an external catch can that 928 Specialists sells, and that eliminated all of the oil in my intake.

Do a search of prior posts to the forum, alleviates much baffle-age. Sometimes, at least.

I had oil in mine too Just make sure to get the engine up to redline every now and then, this will clear out all the pooled up oil!
