Surging on acceleration, cruise is smooth
The last few drives I've been experiencing a surging sensation when I accelerate. Idle is smooth and so is cruising steady (at any tested speed) at highway speeds.
Opinions? Fuel pump or fuel filter?

Burning Brakes
Sounds like you are short on fuel under heavy load. Ideally you could check the fuel flow and pressure but if not then I would replace the fuel filter first, it is easier and less expensive.
