Balancing "secrets?"
In my attempt to eliminate some vibration at 70+, I am first going to have the tires rotated and balanced. In the 7 months I have lived here in Lavergne, TN, I have yet to see another 928 on the road and assume the local shops do not have a lot (aka ANY) of experience with the same. (On a positive note, I can get super unleaded for $1.09) While assuming that "a tire is a tire is a tire," I thought it would be prudent to check and see if anyone had thoughts as to anything in particular I need to be aware of vis a vis balancing with a 928. Thanks, Y'all.

Pat,
Check Nicole's post and replies below
"vibe at 85mph".
Then check the Greg Nichols site under, both,
Tires and Wheels. I didn't look under suspension-just lazy- but if you go COMPLETELY thru those two items -balancing at
speed and set up included-.
HTH LOL
Keep em' rolling

If your balance problem is in the front end and you can't resolve it with normal means, it may be a worn steering rack. My '89 S4 drove me nuts for a while until I realized what was going on.
Also, if you are in the Nashville area, you may want to visit Bloodworth BMW Motorsports for any specialized 928 attention you need (there is an ex-Brumos 928 mechanic there named Wickie; he's very good).
