Talking gas smell

Hi
I have a gas smell that is coming in the central air duct. I've tried the y conector that others have said but it is fine. Can someone give some suggestions.

Question

teemo,
Check the archives. Bent, collapsed, kinked,
overflow or vent tube -gas filler area- the posts in the archive tell you what to look for.

Another option is that you have a fuel pressure regulator or damper that with a leaking diaphragm and engine vacuum is pulling gas past it. There's a bunch of vacuum operated stuff in the climate control in the cabin and perhaps the smell is getting in through it.

Red face

teemo,
Sorry, guy!
I need to talk to Randy V. again my archives/brain isn't functioning properly.
You should be able to highlight'search' top right of your screen below 'post a reply' and type in the request words - spaces only , no punctuation-. BUT, its not working at my end. SO! Do this; Highlight 'Search', you should see a block with an arrow at the right. It is the topic block, O.K.? Then hit the arrow and scroll down to 'Topics from last year', click and wait for it to cycle. You should now have about 14 pages listed either at the top or bottom of your screen. Click on page #7, scrool down to post 13, Walla!
Hey, there is another item right below it that may help with your idle problem. On idle question if no cure found try a bottle of 'GOOD' injector cleaner and a bottle of Octane booster- make sure the disclaimer reads O2 sensor 'SAFE' WalMart sells about 4 different boosters.
HTH, LOL,

Search seems to work fine ('search' link is located at topright of each page - it's kinda tiny)

Doing a search for "gas smell" (no quotes) in 928 forum got this and a couple more topics:

Gas Smell

If it is indeed not a leaking vent system, then you probably have leaking fuel injector(s) - usually replacing the O-ring seals will correct this problem.
