Default Original Keyheads

Hi everyone,

I've been going through the 928 Forum (read pages 401-988 so far!) Lot's of great information!

A question about the keys that I haven't been able to figure out.

What I've ascertained so far:

1) Don't go to the Porsche dealer. Slow and the keys don't fit.

2) Go local if you can to get keys cut.

3) Some (or all ) of the big 3 used to cut keys. Not clear who is doing it at this point.

So my question is, where can I get original blanks. Not the ones that have keyheads that look like they're from Wal-Mart, but the real ones?

The only key that came with my 86.5 928S was an original, for which I replaced the keyehad only.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Scott

We carry the original blanks and can copy your key here. We also supply blanks to http://keys4classics.com/ and they can duplicate your key from a picture. Many on the forum mhave used them with great results.

I bought a lighted keyhead from Mark and am very happy with it....it was fairly easy to pop my key into the new head.....
