Default Any recommendations for Aldo Performance Shop, San Francisco?

Hi folks,
Ive been looking for a trusted shop to regularly bring my 928 to, and met Aldo at his shop on Sutter St.. Havent done business with him yet, but he seems knowledgable, patient and very intrested to "talk 928".
Does anyone local have any good experiences with Aldo Performance? Please do tell.
Other San Francisco mechanics who know 928 suggestions also welcomed. Thanks!

Once upon a time, in the land of San Francisco, a shop for Porsches known as The Stable. The owner's name was Alan. I can't find a listing in switchboard.com, so you will need to research that one. Alan may not work on 928s, because I spoke to him once about them at a drunken wild party we both attended (well, he was actually only sipping from a small wine glass and I don't drink.....). But he may know of someone who'll wrench on your machine. I would give him a call.

I'm going to throw in my two cents on Aldo's ...

The guy seems to be very knowledgeable and very friendly ... but ...

I dropped my car off there on January 1st, 2010 for a clutch job. A week later, nothing was really done. I figured, while the engine is out, might as well do the cams. He started doing the cams, found a broken head stud.

Long story short, Its now March 2nd, and the finishing line is no where in sight. I keep getting told that it will be done soon. My car is sitting there covered in dust, and my engine in pieces ...

Would I recommend him for small jobs? ... yeahm why not, he seems to be working on everyone elses porsches in there ...

Major work ... HEEEEEEEEEEEEELLLLL NNOOOOOOOOOO

I'd go across the Bay Bridge to A. Bauer in Oakland. Famly owned business. Very knowledgable about the 928.

The truth is I'd drop my car off with Renlister Bill Ball (Alamo, CA) and let a fellow 928 owner who is near master tech status do the work for you at very reasonable prices.
