Default Anyone want my D90 wheels with tires? (for sale - RV)

These are the OEM rims off of my '91 S4:

http://www.redlabelmoto.com/details....srImageID=1117

7" x 16" 65 mm front and 8" x 16" 52.3 mm rear

tires 225/50 front and 245/45 rear

The right front is a new wheel from 928 INT. The right rear has curb rashing from parallel parking by non attentive parkers. As a whole the wheels are very nice and have never been refinished. Nice centercaps included. The RDK sensors all work as they should.

Right now my car is at Gruppe GTS with Tom Middleton so perhaps he could chime in here with how they look. As soon as I get my car back next week my new GTS rims/tires are going on and these D90s will be available.

The Fuzion ZRi tires were mounted and balanced new 6 months ago. At the most 350 miles (only one burnout for the tool store owner and his son) on them:

Is $700 fair? Not thrilled about shipping but I would take them to the UPS store or anywhere in Seattle you want.

Another Rennlister sold some on Ebay for $300, so you may want to adjust your price if you need to clear them out.

Life is all about adjustments. Clear them out, yes that sounds swell.

Did his have nearly new tires as well? Not that it matters really. The first realistic offer to take these off my hands could have them.

Kie-

That someone was me, mine were chromed (poorly) by a PO, were flaking, curb rashed, and I was very motivated to get them out of the garage. I sold them to a VW guy in CT, maybe that soccergk guy that's been around lately (?) FWIW, I recently paid a little more than $700 (shipping included) for a proper set of factory finish painted D90's so I'd have a 'correct' set for the car, and that was just for the rims. Perhaps I paid too much, but I don't think $700 that includes good rubber is out of line.

Those specs are for the flat dish wheels, the D90s are 7.5x16 et65 and 9x16 et52.
Some 911s and 944 S2s came with D90s that were less wide than the 928s.

7.5" front... 9" rear. These wheels keep getting better and better!

well you could have 964 wheels. You would know for sure by looking at the wheels themselves.

I'll do that for sure the next time I see my car. I do know for a fact they are the wheels that came on the car when new with the exception of the right front that I replaced with a new, exact OEM duplicate from 928 INT. I also know for a fact all 4 wheels have the RDK sensors. This rules out 964 rims, yes?

7.5" / 9" D90s are pretty uncommon. You can probably do OK selling them. I would be interested in the tires if you wanted to sell those separately.

You're right, I guess I jumped the gun here. I'll wait until I have my car again this upcoming week and for sure ascertain what I have.

Unless of course Mr. Middleton would be so kind to take a peek at them and let us know while he has the thing torn into a million pieces

Thanks and sorry all at once. I'm all about convenience and having less hassle in life so there is no way I'll be dismounting these pups and selling the tires separate.

As luck would have it, I have been searching through Tire Rack's site for tires. I need two tires for the rear 'cause I have a spastic right ankle. And my fronts are worn unevenly, but that has always been the case because no one seems to be able to get the alignment correct; I simply regard the fronts as done at half their normal life and toss 'em. BUT......I want to change my steering rack and put on new wheels (Cups if possible). Everyone knows this story: need a couple of hundred dollar part and while I'm in there, why not........etc. and the bill rises to several hundred or a couple of grand. So all I really need are two back tires for now while I save for the "other stuff". Well, tire rack wants $260 plus mounting and balancing for "two back tires". Ouch!, because they are really only temporary.' That's almost half of these D90 wheels and tires. What's wrong with this picture? I could live with D90s

Just in case they aren't available by my next paycheck, does anyone have any experience with Kuhmos? Those are really CHEAP tires. And Sumitomos are even cheaper yet. These are going to get burned into the ground and are only temporary so I don't want to spend much, but my life is riding on them and that shifts the equation back to the middle. Cheap tires seem cheap tires and nothing else, at best. Everytime I buy cheap tires it costs me big time in the end. Any comments? (before I send $700 to Seattle).

I had the Sumitomos on my '92 Carrera 2 and thought they were great for the street. Cheap is right! My friends in the know all asked why I didn't just get the Kumhos though, so thats what I'm getting this time around:

They sure look cool in the super hi rez pic:

If you want my D90s and tires, I'd send them down to you and you can pay me when you have the dough, no worries.
