P.S.- Might add that the emissions testing has a way to go, yet.

Andrew,
Not to be mean. If you have to ask...
1. Are you comfortable with the way your sHARk handles?
2. How are your tires wearing?
3. Do you experience tire hopping at various speeds on the super slabs.
4. Are there streets you avoid due to vibration/hopping? Take a good look at the road. If it isn't heavily, potholed, patched, or rippled .... Why avoid it?
5. I know there are a few curvy roads up there... push your sHARK a little, when the suspension is up to par there should be very little roll or nose diving -our more aggresive 928 kin have trouble finding the brakes and motor right thru using the propellant pedal in most cases-.
Or, find a good (clean) cloverleaf/tight radius turn on or off ramp. If you take a curved ramp accelerating to the point where you feel you are going a little to fast but don't need the brakes yet -you can go much faster- your shark should feel like its on rails. In most cases YOU will lean into a turn before your shark does.
6. Even if your 84' is an Auto. do you down shift for a stop? If so, unless you really get on the brakes rather than making the engine do its job the nose should not dip appreciably.
Last, if you don't use you 928 like it was meant to be used you can , probably, let the replacment go indefinetly. How you use it is a big factor.
If you just like stylin' around and drive it like Aunt Vickey's Buick don't sweat it. Let's face it if you aren't going to, moderately, wring that puppy out once in a while the car's handling isn't the issue... the issue will be someone driving a sHARk who doesn't know the capabilities of a 928 and picks the inappropriate time/place to
demonstrate what the car can do... a date with disaster. If you don't want to use any of the replies just take to a shop and let them check it out. New shocks do make a difference on any car.
Abbey, long time ... How's the baby? The Project?
Hope I put that in the right order.
Nicole, Package arrived thanks... and thanks.
Return is on the way. My neighboris a NEC systems repairman who has some packing peanuts coming his way - thanks a 3rd time - he unpacks equipment and shares his peanuts with me all the time.

I want the robotic gas-pump attendant that the Japanese have that fill ups the tank as soon as you drive up to the station. AND, I want to be able to pay for it with my cell phone from the driver's seat. All this without ever leaving the car and getting dirty!

Donald,
Yes they do have some way to go, but for here it IS well done. They let through an awful lot of poor windscreens, but it is a systematic, objective test suite on the whole. Back home in Oz these tests are done by local garages, who have a vested interest in getting some work out of it, or if you are a regular customer, in keeping you happy. AND they dont have anything smarter than seat of the pants and experience to guide them. It's almost unknown for a screen to pass (too many $ to be made) despite the rules being fairly lax there (but the customer doesnt know this).
Yes we have a 'cottage industry' group of workshops around the Riyadh MVPI station, but so far I have been able to avoid using them.
Yesterday the 928 failed on inability to switch off spot lights on high beam - a few minutes haggly with the umpire about how hard it was to find the wire to pull, and not going to let the workshops near it, he gave in and signed it off as OK, and it passed.- I didnt have a fuse layout with me, which I must remember to put back in it.
