Default Surging idle hints/THANKS!/ rack issues...

Just wanted to post a big THANK YOU to all the prior posters about this subject. Read everything I could find for the last two years, took the easiest possible starting point, and unplugged my battery.

The symptoms were a fast up-&-down idle until stall, usually fairly quickly, weather cold or hot, no difference. If I kept the engine at or above 1100 R's, the engine would run, and the up-&-down would usually stay away.

Came home the next day, plugged the battery back in, no more surging! Computer re-boot WORKS!

Now, can anyone source some of that dense plastic that Capt. Earl used in his rack? Is it Delrin? Two racks inna row, and the passenger side on both are loose; one on the car, and you can SEE the tire twitch when you push or rotate the shaft up-down or front-back. The 'rebulder' called my alignment tech, and told him these racks can have as much as a QUARTER INCH of play! "And they also put these racks into Rolls Royces"??? Anyone else heard that??? Both driver's sides are tight and solid. Neither one leak at either side... But I am concerned about tire wear with these loose looking and feeling racks....
