That you're thinking about your car is a good sign, but do take things one step at a time. Make sure they're feeding you wel in the hospital. Keep your accelerator foot loose.

Sorry to hear of your unfortunate medical problem. I hope by now you are getting stronger. I had a "cardiac event" April 30th. Somehow I remember that date quite clearly. I had little permanent damage, and the most severe clog was fixed with a stent. Now, I'm feeling better than before the problem, and there is no reason you won't too after a couple of months.

Even though we live in a small town of about 12,000, there is a good cardiac re-hab program in which I enrolled. I encourage you to do the same if it's available. The things I learned were priceless in giving me a chance to have a long future. I thought I was doing good on diet and excersize, but learned it wasn't quite good enough and learned how to do better, which I have done (am doing). I know self imposed stress of trying to get too much done was one of my causitive factors. That is probably the most difficult for me to change. External factors like diet and excersize is easy in comparison to the internal stuff.

Take care and enjoy each day.

This weekend I had a Heart Attack but am doing pretty good so hope to be back in the seat in a little while. As soon as Murf gets his 86 running a SC is in my future, no need to wait life is too short and can throw you a curve before you know it.

Thanks for your thoughts!
I am surprised as to my rate of recovery as was my doctor. Being Type A and wanting to finish the attic project A.S.A.P. that pushed me over the edge, I called for some help today. I read the medical journal post about depression and I may be feeling a little down now but that has to be expected. The strange part is on the way to the hospital my only thought was of the kids and them not having a father for guidance 9 and 13 Y-old. It made me feel I pushed too hard and caused this problem. My mortality or even God did not come to the forefront, but I did ask for a second chance but did not promise anything in return. Funny about how a piece of metal can keep you focused and anxious to get better to go behind the wheel.

Get well soon. Hope you're with your family at home now. And take it easy.
