Default 928's With Custom Paint Jobs...

I'm sure this is sacrilegious but I'm considering a custom paint job on my '87 S4...

Please don't post all the reasons why I shouldn't, but if anyone has some photos of other custom 928's I'd love to see them -

Thanks,

Russ

that orange s4 (8th pic down, not the one with the wing) is beautiful - love that color - sort of Parnelli orange.

That and the one on the last pic are the same. Note that he changed the rear spoiler.

In the meantime he added two wide black stripes along the middle of the car... ugh

too bad. I don't like the "turbo" hood cut outs either, altho they may be necessary for his set up I suppose

AFAIK the engine is stock.

He might have the cat and chip upgrade that lifts the car into a better emissions class and adds a few horses, though.

Nicole...
Thanks! Some of those were interesting to say the least. Think I'll go with the 4x4 look, but I'll need bigger tires!

I remember seeing some pics from a Scandinavian rennlister where a 928 was painted in Gulf Porsche color scheme (light blue/orange) that I thought was cool!

Default 928 in BMW-MINI Convert "Hot Orange"

This is my 928 using factory BMW "Hot Orange" as the base color.

I do hope the black stripes on the orange car are vinyl - it sure spoils the look...

I think it looked best with the black stock wing - sans stripes. A smooth body colored wing would look good too. That later wing looks like the optional 996 Carrera wing - looks OK on a 911 but not on a 928 IMO.

Some of these give one pause to ponder if its a good idea to go custom -- others look good...
