Default PCA Road America race updates please!

So how is the 928 contingent doing at the PCA races? Updates, stories, pictures wanted! Enzo's clutch fix was a great teaser thread.

Anderson is in the middle speed group (all the cup cars have their own group this year.) and is having his way with the entire group.

Joe Fan has had oil issues.

Their fun race/practice start were cut very short due to a MAJOR oil spill on and off line through 6-7-8.

That explains it. I got up there around 2:30 and the main gates were already locked up - nobody to be found. Unfortunately, we're taking our daughter back to school today and won't be able to make it back up. Bummer.

Hi Joe,

Thanks for the reply! So, how does Mark A.'s times stack up against the Cup Car group? Pics would be great too!

Nope, it was a racing incident with a 911 that started with people going 3 wide under the toyota bridge into turn 6 (really not the smartest thing). He punctured his fender mount oil cooler and began the Porsche trademarked 1 mile long oil line.

I know that Joe in his first session found a breather hose that wasn't installed right that was pumping oil overboard but not enough to cover the course.

As for Mark's times, I'm not sure what he was running. I never saw the sheets for his group. I know that he was having some overheating issues and was probably not running the car as hard as he could due to that. This year the top cars were getting ballpark 2:15's while 3 years ago I know Mark was getting 2:21-2:22. Those times would have put him about 10-12th in the fastet group.

Hmm, parallel thread here. I timed Mark at 2:23 one lap. His hold up was basically all the other cars on the track.

I heard tell that no dyno work or prep work was done on Joe's car prior to departure so they were rolling the dice with his.

Hi Joe,

Excellent shots of Mark A. and Joe F.! Looks like they are having a lot of fun. Do you know how Carl is doing?

Please keep the updates and pics coming.

Wish I could've been there...

He's out driving but with the number of cars on the track I didn't even bother to keep times. His car and the other sharks all look good out there. I'm not going up today so no more updates from me.
