My bumper cover has slight denting on the outher corners where it attaches to the fender. It's a bit hard to see in the picture, but if you follow the line of the fender you'll see it. Is there anyway to get the dents out besides making a trip to the body shop? My main worry is that the paint might crack if I try to push the dents back from the inside. Apperciate your feedback!

about the only way to reduce the deformation is to loosen the inner nose clamps 8mm nuts and try to gently push the rubber out slightly do this in the sun after the nose has heated, dark colors get a lot hotter than lighter colors and this may have caused the nose portion to swell slightly giving the depressions you see, more than likely though not much can be done other than fitting a new front nose , it also looks from the picture you could stand fitting a new body sealing rubber now there might be a chance that the one fitted has a few of the setting staples falling out and that might be the cause of the deformation you wont really know unless you remove the front end and see, the portion along the bottom edge looks like the clamping nuts are too tight and thus deforming the nose you could always just remove the nose and set it in the sun for an afternoon without any stress on it and it may return to flat

Aryan, Try just loosening all the nuts that hold the bumper cover on several turns. They are elastic stop nuts and won't fall off. park in the sun and see what happens. It may cure itself.

,....or you could possibly try a heat-gun,... gently heat the area that is dented, and get your hand behind, then (massage) the dent gently out,... this worked for me recently on a non-porsche bumper.

Didn't somebody at some point say he threw the bumper cover into a hot tub for a day or two, and it restored itself? OR was that after some deformity from an accident? Don't recall...

When I repaired a tear in my XR4ti bumper I did some research on the internet. There was often mention of hot water baths including a patent application of some sort for this style treatment. Unfortunately there didn't seem to be any one person or site which gave a comprehensive discussion about this. Urethane seems to respond well to a hot water bath both for shaping and maybe for clean/prep of the surface before the various magic glues are applied. If anyone knows the whole story I'd like to hear it. Body guys don't have large hot tubs, so they don't know the story. My repair looks OK so far using Lord Fusor 142. As for warpage, the hot water may be a trick repair.
