During the first gulf war my ship conducted interdiction boardings in the Red Sea. We stopped two different oil tankers coming out of Al-'Aqabah, that had cut holes in the sides and loaded stolen cars from Kuwait into the tanks. They then sealed them back up and painted them. The cars all had broken steering columns and were headed to Alexandria to be sold to support the war effort. They were all nice Mercedes and Bimmers. It was very wierd climbing into an oil tank and seeing roughly 20 cars in the bottom with no obvious way of them gettin inside. The first we one we stopped had 16 tanks and almost 300 cars on board.
