Welcome Jack.
Aligning these beasts requires the use of a shop that can take direction from the customer - namely because the car must NOT be raised during the alignment process. Most shops will totally diregard a 928 owner's directions, resulting in improper camber settings and worn inner front tires.
See these tips to get a good idea of what I'm referring to:

The problem is I cant find a shop that will listen to me and not raise the car. One guy said he will raise the control arms and it should work but I checked and that wont work and I told him to roll it backwards with the sensors on it, but he said it was impossible. The alignment i have on it now is not right either.

Jack... I am in Los Alamos, NM which is a long ways from your location but I am lucky as there is a shop in town that DOES know how to align a Porsche and does a great job, have had my belt retensioned and head gaskets and alignment done by this man and he is great.
The place is Automotive Proffesionals (505 662 6929) Mike is his name. When you find a person that knows the 928 it is a great relief to know that help is near <img src="graemlins/xyxwave.gif" border="0" alt="[bigbye]" />

Thats actually good because I have family in Las Cruces wich I visit sometimes.. I could plan a trip there and have an alingment done on the way.. I car should be painted tommorow. Its the factory ruby red metallic color, but with purple pearl in the last coat of paint. Do you have any info on what prices you have paid for service there? I would like to have the belt checked at the same time it a about 3 years old with a few thousand on it. I have records from previous owner. Thanks for the help!
