Didja know that S4 stood for all-wheel drive?

Now THIS is waaaay off topic. Actually, there's bunch floating around out there. (Some were borrowed from our under-cylindered brethren on the 944 board). Some are delightfully offensive...be nice to add them to the Graemlin list...
And my personal favorite...

This guy is amazing, he claims that the car is "his personal pride and joy" so he must have driven it and he still thinks it has 4 wheel drive.
It's rather frighting that we share the road with this bozo. I thought people who are attracted to 928 type cars were more knoledgable.

Now, he did say "Rare automatic.."
What's REALLY scary is that he's in Lincoln, Nebraska and doesn't know it isn't 4wd. The snowdrifts there are higher than in Arms Cache, Wyo.
Mine's just a manual 2wd - the un-rare kind

HEHE...I emailed them and this was their reply...
"My apologies...The S4 does NOT mean ALL-WHEEL DRIVE. It refers to the 32 valve motor and other factory enhancements-supposedly in suspension, etc... I have had some help with our ads and apparently there has been some misinformation. I will correct the problem ASAP."
Thanks,
Eric Bigler

Hmmm, this guy is giving Nebraska a bad name (though the huskers have been doing that for years). I'm almost tempted to drive the half hour and take a look, but I'm too lazy and will settle for the four at this local dealer I've been to. Now they have one that's...questionable, but in a good way.

Jeez, Flint, you're lucky to have such a place nearby - so this is where all the 944 Turbos hide.
The Blue S4 5sp looks sharp.
...and pick me up the '66 330 GT while you're at it.
Oh, hey, just noticed that the auction was ended early due to "errors in the description". The errors were blamed on his "ad consultants".

I was in that dealership the other day. The blue S4 is unbadged and has the one long reflector strip on the back. I thought that was only a GTS thing, but I could be wrong. The drool car they had (that isn't listed) is an original Jaguar XK120--in perfect condition, but good luck getting all three carbeurators to synch up.

Blue '87 S4 w/ GTS bumper cap --> likely means it got hit and the S4 cap was replaced w/ GTS cap (S4 cap no longer available new from Porsche).....
Nice looking car though and a 5-spd as well!

Silly James...Don't you know it's not the size of the engine that is important but how you use it...

None taken James (my water-cooled brother)...I love the 928 and was on the hunt for one when I came across my 944 turbo...I'll find a nice example someday but in the meantime the 951 is a lot of fun...
