ride height, lowering
any advances over the factory specified settings? i know it was all designed to work (the suspension) at a particular height, but will anything break if you lower it? does anyone have experience with lowering the 928?

Burning Brakes
It depends on "how low you go". If too low, you run the risk of damaging the engine block. I've seen damaged 928 blocks due to the AC adjustment bracket hitting the road. Others have said they have seen where the alternator hit.
Other problems with lowering a 928 are the alignment and tire wear issues. As the car is lowered, both the camber and toe are affected. The camber becomes more negative, and at the same time the front end gets more "toe-out". The result will be excessive inside-edge front tire wear. YMMV.

I agree with Ed
To low and you run the risk of damage.
Set the car to the low end of the factory spec. (160). The look and handling will be fine.
Only go lower if it's a dedicated track car.
