Nicole,

Absolutely correct. I have heard of 928s going out of warranty while STILL on a dealers lot (when PCNA was offering 12/12 warranty). PCNA told the dealer to start the warranty period after the car sat for some time already. When it came to the end of the 928s life, dealers were having to take GTSs and therefore ordered them with the very minimum options and in colors that would sell (black, red, white, silver or blue). There are a couple GTSs in the US that were special ordered like 1995 GTS #4. When this particular car was ordered, the dealer wanted over $20k as a non-refundable deposit to make sure they didn't get hung with the car.

elemental,

I think the color is actually Aventurine Green Metallic like this car:

<a href="http://www.928registry.org/1995-928GTS-23.htm" target="_blank">Aventurine Green Metallic 95 GTS</a>

I tried your link to the car in Germany and couldn't get it to work. Try this one.

Update to original post: I couldn't get my links to work either. Here are the links you could paste in your browser if you have problems like I'm having.

Oliver Jacquemond says the fender flares are pretty easy to do yourself. Just trace them out on the body and cut the lips out and glue on flares with special epoxy. Then normal body filler out the seems. If you have done any simple bodywork it should be a pease-a-cake job. Bumper covers are just bolt on. Mine is going to be DEEP BURGANDY color!
