Default Install new Adj Fuel Regulator & Damper

I am getting a adjustable fuel pressure regulator and damper for my 1984. What is it like to install. Anyone do this on this year car.

So you are going to remove one of the regulators in place of a dampner, then put the adj regulator in place of remaining pressure regulator?

I have one on mine, but it's not a stock setup. Overall I don't see how it's any harder to install than a stock one.

Relatively easy. Just make sure to cap off the vaccuum end on the side you replace with a dampener.

The dampner I used has a vacuum port.

Enzo,
I used the rear dampener on my old '80.

On Chewy, I mounted the FPR in the center (behind the MAF), sans dampener.

Ah, I used an S4 dampner in place of the other regulator.

I'm still confused since the stock dampner on my 80 has a vacuum port.

Enzo,
It's been as while, I may have connected the vaccuum hose to the dampener. Sorry.

The vacumn line is to direct fuel to the intake when the diaphram fails otherwise it would spray fuel all over the top of the engine. That would be a bad thing !

well hopefully this will install quickly. I believe I will need a gauge to set pressure. The question is, what pressure to set it at?

Jump the fuel pump relay to check for leaks before starting the car.

What fuel pressure? Question I forgot to ask earlier - why are you installing the adjustable regulator?

Was on a Dyno and I ran lean. So, this will help with fuel delivery at WOT.

Is your car modified? If not......something else is broken. Fix that or the problem will get worse.

I ran out of fuel at WOT, I will change fuel filter as well. I am also going to look at pump. But while I am doing these, I want to be able to adjust pressure as well.
