Talking The V-Rod (A Porsche Project??)

Hey All,

A little OT and probably really old news to some but I thought it was worthy of mention for those of us that have lived in a hole for the last 3 years.
I watched "Birth Of The V-ROD" last night. You know, Harley Davidson's newest bike, and found out that the engine was co-developed by your friend and mine ----- PORSCHE!

The engine is a derivative of the Harley VR1000 racing engine and is liquid cooled - a first for Harley.
Harley Davidson sent a team of engineers to the Weissach factory for something like a year so that Porsche's engineers could help them turn a $75,000 racing engine into a streetable waterpumper.

I have never been the biggest of Harley fans

until the V-Rod.

I guess I must have felt that Porsche vibe reaching out from that particular bike. It is a totally awesome machine.

Anyway, something to chat about over coffee - if nothing else.
I apologize if this is completely old news and I am just slooowwww!!!!!

Cheers
