It is just about time for the annual Boston Shark Party wherein we inundate with 928s the NER-region PCA's car show at the Larz Anderson Museum of Transportation in Boston MA (suburban Boston.) This "on the lawn" setting is booked years in advance, so getting a 928OC-only date is impossible. Thanks to the good folks in the Northeast Region, we've been sharing the real-estate with those "other" Porsches...and always outnumbering them![Smilie](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
To make things simpler this year, registration will be directly thru our hosts. Simply print the form (link below), complete and mail with $25 to Steve. If you want your car to be judged for the true concours, check the "full" or "top only" category.
Download the NER/PCA registration form here
Also, the 928 Owner's Club along with two sponsors (Stan Shaw's Excell.Net and David Tassinari's Accent Industrial) will be partially defraying the cost of event T-Shirts. The first event T-Shirts will be free to registered attendees with a 928 or attending 928 OC members. Otherwise they will be $5 each. (This is in addition to the registration fee. But, I will be collecting at the event. Don't send your T-Shirt money to NER/PCA.)
If you plan to attend and would like an event T-Shirt please let me know ASAP what size(s) you would like; Please respond by e-mail (preferably) or by PM.
I have to get the shirt order in by Monday (8/20). Based upon responses we'll adjust the number and distribution of T-Shirt sizes. At the event those that have responded to this message (or to the Northeast OC e-mail's flying around) will get their preferred size. Those unable to respond but still wishing to receive a T-Shirt will have to settle for what's left.
P.S. Randy - can you, please, make this sticky for a while.

After reviewing responses it looks like the T-shirts are going to be $3 and not $10.

In my haste to get prospective attendees to sign up for shirts I failed to provide some obvious details about the event in the opening message. The essential details are in the PDF that is linked in the first message. Below is a summary with additional information:
The event is the
PCA NER region PorscheFest Concours d'Elegance at The Larz Anderson Auto Museum, Brookline, MA
This is a google maps link to the location (15 Newton St, Brookline, MA)
If you want to park on the field with the rest of the Porsches you should arrive by 9AM. If you will not be parking with us on the field then you can arrive at 10 AM or a bit later. In the first case, download the PDF, fill it out and send it along with $25 to the address listed on the form. If you do not send in the registration before the event you will be asked for $35 at the "door" if you want to park your Porsche with the rest of us. I have no idea what, or if, NER charges for general admission for non-entrants.
Most 928 folks simply enter the "park and wipe." A few of us enter the "top only." Don't worry too much about the condition of your 928. Just try a bit to make it presentable (wash the mud off, get the panties out of the back seat, etc.) But, if you enter the 'top-only' or God forbid the 'full' concours you'd better be serious or you'll get embarrassed but good.
The first T-Shirt will be free to registered 928-driving or 928 Owners Club (with or without a car) attendees. While supplies last, the second (or third etc.) shirt will be $5 as will be shirts for those not registering a 928 or not those who are not OC members. All those who responded to me prior to the deadline will get one free shirt regardless of the above. Any proceeds from shirts will be used to fund next year's BSP apparel.

I would like to caravan for this possible 3 1/2 hour run from Whitestone bridge after toll booth at the first reststop. Anytime early to be there from the day before preferably to get a taste of Boston and to be familiar with where I'm going for 9AM on the 8th

Hmmm
Maybe us local guys should plan some type of BBQ or GTG the night before. I would be willing to host a BBQ at our place in Halifax the evening before the show. Maybe BYOB and detailing supplies to touch up the cars after traveling.
If there's enough interest I'll PM the address and time.

I will try to make it out to Brookline Saturday morning for this show. Probably won't park on the grass and have no intention of entering to have car for formally reviewed for concours or anything like that. Would be fun just to meet some of you guys and see your 928's. And the Larz Anderson museum is always a beautiful place to visit. Family duties will probably dictate that I don't get to hang out all day though.

As usual, my bucket of bolts is up on the jack stands doing a PTA brake job when something like this comes along. The PTA is time and money and WYAIT things!!!
How do you think it would look up on cinder blocks?

Traveling up from R.I. in the morning. My sister lives right around the corner from LARZ, should be fun. Anybody else from R.I. going up?
Think I'll head on over to Mike's Pastry after the show!
