OK guys the time has come to start putting the beast back together after painting. When I removed the rear bumper spoiler the fixings to receive the screws from up under had rusted away. Now I can get a new spoiler but to be honest it wont look the same as it wont have aged so I want to repair it. I have noticed that the back plate is metal so i am thinking of removing the lugs completely and then putting thin guage steel over the original plates. prior to fixing these plates firmly in position I will fix some new lugs to receive the crews from up under. Has anyone had to do this or have any better ideas?
